European science cultures in Graz: 50 Years Southeast European History

From April 16th until July 15th, 2021 there will be an exhibition entitled “European science cultures in Graz: 50 years Southeastern European History and Anthropology” taking place in the section’s housing in Mozartgasse 3. The exhibition’s focus is on both the section‘s development from its beginnings in 1970 and the eventful history of its housing, the heritage-protected Baroque building of the so-called “Meerscheinschlössl”. Its aim is to communicate the significance of Southeast European Studies to a wider public of the city as a centuries-old storage of memory and traditional research and science centre. Additional events such as sightseeing tours through Southeast European Graz, concerts and a panel discussion etc. will go with the exhibition.
